Our largest joint project with Burghardt + Schmidt so far has been the construction and commissioning of our Q1000 / 60 / 3.0 – 30/47 cut-to-length line in spring 2006. This finishing line is undoubtedly a “made-to-measure” line in a double sense. During the planning phase, the designers at B + S had to ensure that the line “fit” on the one hand on the existing foundations of a former slitting line and on the other that it met the special requirements of the new customers we acquired at the same time.
This was certainly not an easy undertaking! After all, numerous technical adjustments had to be made by the experienced B + S fitters – even during the construction and commissioning phase. In particular, it became clear that we had not only selected the right supplier of the cut-to-length line, but had also won an ally to achieve the qualitative and economic goals we were striving for with this investment.
So today, after three years of continuous operation, our stainless steel service center has a cut-to-length line that will certainly remain “state-of-the-art” in your field for a long time to come. Our decision at the time in favor of a high-performance leveler with a quick-change cassette device from Burghardt + Schmidt has proven to be spot on. The straightening cassettes with roller diameters of 30 and 47 millimeters can be exchanged within a very short time. As a result, we always achieve perfect straightening results across the entire thickness spectrum, which extends from 0.30 to 3.00 millimeters for our stainless steel flat products.
We can promise our growing buyers of precision blanks that we will comply with the tightest dimensional and form tolerances. The blanks are also stacked with absolutely straight edges with the vacuum stacking machine located at the system outlet. What more do you want?
We have already served numerous well-known stainless steel consumers with the precision of our blanks. This creates long-term business relationships that ensure the continued success of our company. As we ourselves are loyal to our suppliers, we will of course always ask the experts at Burghardt + Schmidt about our future needs for finishing equipment, to whom we wish much (joint) success for the future.
